Welcome to Mr Smith Creative, the website of multi-disciplicnary creative Andy Smith. I, along with the network of people I work with, bring you all the experience and expertise of a top creative agency, with the flexibility to maximise your budget.

I work remotely. I don’t have an office, and there are no huge teams of people to deal with. Instead, I collaborate with a pool of expert, self-employed freelancers with a wealth of skills.

This means, when you work with me, I give you my utmost attention and you get pure creative value.

Expertise
Me, like everyone in the large network of professionals I partner with, am experienced and efficient. I am an award-winning, ex-agency creative and have worked in the biggest and best studios around. I have also worked in the tiny ones, and directly with my own clients for many years, so I can handle all aspects of any project.

Tailor-made teams
I work with a trusted network of senior copywriters, designers, art directors, PR experts, web developers, animators and other creative professionals to provide a flexible creative service tailored for each project.

Effective concepts, expertly crafted
The best advertising agencies are informed by great creative briefs. They use strong propositions to drive communications that talk directly to a target audience.

The best design agencies use creative and technical expertise to present information in eye-catching ways. They produce beautiful artwork that appeals to people on both conscious and sub-conscious levels.      

Both are great in different ways. But you shouldn’t have to choose one or the other. I do both.

With a background in both design and advertising, my work is concept led and design crafted. I make it simple by calling this approach ‘concept and craft’. Importantly, concepts come first, informed by a great creative brief, then the work is art directed and design crafted to a high standard. This makes it as strong and effective as possible.

As well as working directly with our own fantastic clients, I partner with other businesses with complementary skill sets. This includes PR, communications and marketing agencies, and businesses of any sort that require an extra creative dimension to add to their specialism. I can act as your own creative department, to plug-in and be there when you need it.

Who doesn’t love a nice shiny trophy? I do. I have won awards in advertising, strategy, copywriting, art direction, video, design, marketing and even teaching in Scotland, the UK and internationally.

But most important for us is validation that my work is amongst the best. I think this approach is great for our clients, and thankfully so do my peers.
