North Berwick Trust
For over 50 years, North Berwick Trust has supported local enterprises. It’s evolution sparked the need for a fresh new identity. Inspired by the iconic whalebone arch atop North Berwick Law, the rebrand merged heritage with modern character. The final brand identity became a lasting symbol across the town. This project is a story of collaboration, narrative and local knowledge.
The brand identity for North Berwick Trust created a lasting connection between the town, people and purpose of the organisation. The strength of the icon, the stability and the choice of the whalebone arch over the more typical Bass Rock, all made this one of those ideas that stuck. It is seen across signage, print and digital platforms, and the brand continues to represent the town with quiet confidence. The project also carries personal meaning, shaped through collaboration with mentor and late friend Mick Dean. It remains one of my proudest pieces of work, grounded in story, local knowledge and a strong sense of identity.
